Synopsis
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the BBC’s 2015 TV adaptation of Poldark. A very simple and bingeable series, thoroughly enjoyable. Great characters, storytelling, drama and 80s music to sing along to. David Tennant again plays a fantastic antagonist. Aidan Turner is amazing as always. The cast clearly had a lot of fun filming this and it shows in the series. So many talented actors and actresses in one show. The series starts off comical and gets more and more dramatic as the episodes progress. The series has stayed true to the book and the nature of the 80s. The characters are likeable and easy to get involved with. I finished every episode wanting to watch more immediately until the end. Waiting for the second season!
